- Research: There is a brand behind the design you are doing. Get to know its mission, values, target audience, and the industry.
- Brand Personality: Identify the brand personality of the brand you are working with. What is its style from playful to severe, modern to classic.
2.Define the Logo’s Purpose
- Type: Choose what kind of logo you need. The most common are: wordmark (text-based), lettermark (initials), brandmark (symbol), combination mark (text and symbol) & emblems (text inside a symbol).
3.Conceptualization

- Sketch: Start with simple sketches. It just wont be perfect but GET IT ON PAPER!

4.Digital Creation
- Software: Have graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW or also previously free tools like Inkscape for vector drawing, and Canva are all useful.
- Design in Vector: Create your logo as a vector graphic this way it will be able to resize without losing quality.
5.Design Principles
- Simplicity: The design should be clean and simplistic.
- Versatile: Should look good in different size and applications (print, web, monochrome etc.)

6.Refinement
- Feedback: Get Feedback with Stakeholders and maybe even a Wider Audience.
- Iterate : Make your design better based on the feedback received.
7.Finalize the Design
- Polish: Ensure everything is on-brand, cohesive and balanced.
- File Formats: Create several file formats including (AI, EPS, PNG, JPEG and SVG) for different use cases.
8.Delivery and Usage
- Style Guide: In the style guide document list your usages of logo color code, font name & spacing.
- Deliverables: Send the logo files and style guide to the client.
